Wife of the Vice President Mrs Oludolapo Osinbajo is seen here with a victim of discrimination due to infertility. The woman identified as Helen Philip, is a beneficiary of "Merck More Than a Mother Project. She passed through great trials but now is full of joy and dignity.
Mrs Aisha Buhari's initiative Future Assured, Merck Healthcare and Senate Committee on Health showcased MERCK MORE THAN A MOTHER CAMPAIGN in Abuja on Thursday, to end the discrimination and stigma experienced by infertile women and help them through the challenges they face.
The program aims to highlight the challenges these women go through and the empowerment initiatives undertaken to help them survive the harsh treatment and stigmatization associated with infertility. Mrs Buhari was represented by Mrs Osinbajo.
Also at the event was the Minister of Health Prof Issac Adewole, Senator Tejuosho, Dr Mohammed Kamal National Coordinator Future Assured,Wife of the Senate President and Speaker House of Rep H.E Mrs Toyin Saraki and Mrs Dogara, Members of Parliament from Kenya and Uganda.
Beneficiaries of the program were also in attendance.
